Endoscopy Treatment

Minimally Invasive Gynecological Surgery

Gynecological endoscopy is a surgical discipline that uses optical instruments to diagnose and treat female reproductive disorders. It encompasses two primary techniques: Laparoscopy (viewing the outside of the uterus, tubes, and ovaries) and Hysteroscopy (viewing the inside of the uterine cavity).

When is Endoscopy Needed?

  • Diagnosing Infertility: Identifying blocked fallopian tubes, pelvic adhesions, or endometriosis.
  • Treating Structural Issues: Removing fibroids, polyps, or ovarian cysts that prevent pregnancy.
  • Unexplained Pelvic Pain: Investigating and treating chronic pain.
  • Ectopic Pregnancy: Safely managing pregnancies outside the uterus.

Types of Procedures

Diagnostic Laparoscopy

A small camera is inserted through the belly button to inspect the pelvic organs for abnormalities.

Operative Laparoscopy

Using specialized instruments alongside the camera to remove cysts, fibroids, or endometriosis lesions.

Hysteroscopy

A thin camera is passed through the cervix to examine and treat issues inside the uterus (like polyps or scar tissue) without any incisions.
