Minimally Invasive Gynecological Surgery
Gynecological endoscopy is a surgical discipline that uses optical instruments to diagnose and treat female reproductive disorders. It encompasses two primary techniques: Laparoscopy (viewing the outside of the uterus, tubes, and ovaries) and Hysteroscopy (viewing the inside of the uterine cavity).
When is Endoscopy Needed?
- Diagnosing Infertility: Identifying blocked fallopian tubes, pelvic adhesions, or endometriosis.
- Treating Structural Issues: Removing fibroids, polyps, or ovarian cysts that prevent pregnancy.
- Unexplained Pelvic Pain: Investigating and treating chronic pain.
- Ectopic Pregnancy: Safely managing pregnancies outside the uterus.
